This product works as a backup MX when a mail server is not able to accept mail. Mail is spooled for delivery once the server is able to receive mail. For mail servers that handle a larger volume of mail, there is more of an opportunity for a mail server to experience an issue including connectivity interruptions, power outages, server reboots, networking issues, etc. Having a backup MX ensures that mail is spooled for delivery during temporary outages or long-term ones.

How does it work?
A backup MX Record is created directing mail to our spooler as a secondary to your primary MX Record. Mail received into the spooler is stored on our server. The spooler attempts to connect, and once it is able to make a successful connection begins to despool the messages and deliver them to the intended recipients. It continues to store mail for up to 7 days or 5 GB capacity.
